Armenia reports 229 new COVID-19 cases, tally tops 41,000 on August 13
Armenia has confirmed 229 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 41,023 as of 11 a.m. Thursday, August 13, the Ministry of Health reports.
405 more patients have beaten COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 33,897.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by 3 to 809.
The latest victims were 77 (female), 68 (female) and 88 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions.
In addition, according to the ministry, 4 cases of death were recorded in the past 24 hours when the patients tested positive for COVID-19, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 238.
The number of active cases is 6,079.
As many as 180,497 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
