Armenia’s minister of economy fined for entering press conference hall without face mask
Armenia’s Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan has been fined after entering the press conference hall near his office without wearing a face mask on Friday, the spokeswoman of the ministry, Anna Ohanyan, said in a Facebook post.
The minister realized that he had forgotten his mask a few seconds after entering the hall, apologized for it and went back to his office to get the mask.
After the news conference, police filed a corresponding report on the violation to fine him.
“We once again apologize for the incident that occurred due to negligence, reaffirming that even breaking the rules for a few seconds does not absolve someone of responsibility," the spokeswoman said.
