Armenia reports 196 new COVID-19 cases, tally reaches 41,495 on August 15
Armenia has confirmed 196 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 41,495 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15, the Ministry of Health reports.
320 more patients have beaten COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 34,484.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by 3 to 817.
The latest victims were 86 (female), 68 (male) and 70 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions.
In addition, according to the ministry, 3 cases of death were recorded in the past 24 hours when the patients tested positive for COVID-19, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 242.
The number of active cases is 5,952.
As many as 183,789 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
