
Armenia reports 263 new coronavirus cases, five more deaths on August 20
Armenia has confirmed 263 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 42,319 as of 11 a.m. Thursday, August 20, the Ministry of Health reports.
250 more patients have beaten COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 35,476. The coronavirus death toll has increased by 5 to 1,087. Two deaths were diagnosed positive for coronavirus but the causes of the deaths were another disease. The latest victims were 61 (female), 55 (male) and 81 (female) year-old and had underlying chronic health conditions.
As many as 190,560 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
