
Coronavirus updates: 131 new cases, seven deaths recorded in Armenia on August 26
Armenia has confirmed 131 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 43,067 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, the Ministry of Health reports.
251 more patients have beaten COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 36,726. The coronavirus death toll has increased by 7 to 1,125 - 264 of whom diagnosed positive for coronavirus but the cause of the death was another disease.
The latest victims were 58 (female), 63 (male), 79 (male) years-old and all had underlying chronic health conditions. The number of active cases is 5,216.
As many as 198,569 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
