2.9 magnitude earthquake recorded in Shirak province of Armenia
An earthquake of 2.9 magnitude was registered 8 km south of Ashotsk village of Shirak province on Sunday at about 22:07 (GMT 18:07), Armenia’s National Service for Seismic Protection at the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported, adding the geographical coordinates of the epicenter were northern latitude 40.97 and eastern longitude 43.89⁰. The epicenter of the earthquake was on the depth of 10 kilometers.
In the epicenter the magnitude of the earthquake was registered 4 points. The earthquake has been felt in Amasia, Ashotsk, Mets Sepasar, Poqr Sepasar and Sarapat communities of Shirak province with 3 magnitude.
