3 Indian citizens detained for illegal crossing of the Armenian-Georgian border
Georgian police have detained three Indian citizens for illegally crossing the state border with Armenia, the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The investigation found that the detainees had illegally crossed the Armenian-Georgian state border, according to Agenda.ge reported, adding the crime is punishable by four to five years in prison.
An official statement released by the mini try reads that the Georgian Border Police has charged a total of 92 foreign citizens for illegally crossing the border during 2020, out of which 35 were citizens of Turkey, nine Indian citizens, four Iranian citizens, four individuals from Palestine, and one citizen of Morocco.
