592 Georgian citizens to enter Armenia for study purposes
For the 2020-2021 academic year, 84 Armenians holding foreign citizenship have applied to study at a higher educational institution in Armenia through an online application form. As the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sport reports, 69 out of the total number are Georgian citizens, 14 - from the Russian Federation and 1 - from the United States. Another 11 applications have been received from Armenian citizens who are in the territory of a third state.
It is noted that the above-mentioned applicants entered the territory of Armenia on June 25 per permission of the Commandant, in charge of the regime of the state of emergency to take part in the admission exams.
As the ministry detailed, based on exams results, 17 Georgian citizens of Armenian origin entered Higher Education Institutions in Armenia. Their entry to the territory of Armenia is permitted from September 1.
In the meantime, 592 Georgian citizens currently enrolled in higher education degree courses in Armenia will be allowed to enter Armenia for study purposes starting from September 15.
