Over 10 million AMD have been raised from La Traviata’s open-air benefit concert that took place at the park of the National Assembly on September 4. Initiated by the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBA), the proceeds and donations will matched by AGBU and directed to Lebanon relief efforts.

As AGBU reported, in the aftermath of the devastating explosion in Beirut that took place a month ago, AGBU Central Board engaged in worldwide appeals for urgent contributions to accelerate relief for Lebanese Armenians with a designated relief fund. Immediate and generous support from across the globe resulted in over four million dollars raised over the weekend with both benefactors and grassroots donors rising to assist.

The donations will be directed towards the renovation of the Armenian cultural centers, affected by Beirut explosion.
