Daniel Ioannisyan comments on My Step MP Arsen Julfalakyan’s resignation
Chairman of the Union of Informed Citizens NGO Daniel Ioannisyan believes Arsen Julfalakyan quitted as an MP from the ruling My Step alliance because the parliament is “out of place”.
Julfalakyan announced his resignation on Wednesday, citing disagreements with Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan.
"If a deputy has disagreements with a minister, they should become a subject of debates in the sessions hall. It is normal, constitutional and democratic,” he said on Facebook.
“But do you remember a case when a My Step lawmaker publicly criticized a minister? I do not remember. My impression is that the discipline in the My Step alliance comes before the Constitution and democracy.
“This is an abnormal phenomenon, and, of course, Julfalakyan is not to blame for it,” he added.
