Zako: Feature-length film on the destiny of the artist survived in the concentration camp
Feature-length film "Zako", which is based on the graphic novel "Zako Crude fruit" created by Tigran Mangasaryan, have received the support from of the Nacional Cinema Center of Armenia.
As the creators of the film report, the film created by ONoff.studio is based on a true story of an artist Sargis Mangasaryan (ZAKO).
Zako – this is what the Germans called the painter Sargis Mangasaryan who lived through the hell of concentration camps and survived thanks to his talent as a painter. An incredible story of a man who was forced to draw the portraits of his tormentors.
During that time he had been keeping a diary. To survive he had to draw his torturers and their victims.
