‘We shall fight till the end’: Protests continue outside Armenian government
A group of citizens continue protesting outside the Armenian government building on Friday, demanding an opportunity to travel back to Russia.
The protesters ask the authorities to negotiate with the Russian side and allow them to enter the country amid the international travel restrictions imposed by Russia.
They have been making the same demand during separate rallies held in front of the government, the Foreign Ministry and the Russian Embassy in Armenia for a few weeks.
“We are not given an answer; no one says anything. Our struggle is continuous, we shall fight till the end, till the borders reopen,” one of the protesters stressed.
The citizen claimed many families have been separated for 6-7 months already. Many of them are losing their jobs or being blacklisted by banks in Russia, the protester added.
The protesting citizens plan to march to the National Assembly building and the prime minister's residence.
