Armenia’s crisis management center handles 282 emergencies in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 550 calls from 7 to 13 September, of which 282 were emergency cases.
The number included 210 fire calls, one collapse, one case of heavy hailstorm, nine suicide attempts, 28 snake detections, 52 road traffic accidents, as well as 137 household calls.
There were 91 casualties, while four citizens were rescued as a result of the operational rescue efforts.
The past week also saw 9 poisoning cases.
The crisis management center reported a total of 12 fatalities last week.
Six vehicles got stuck in the period due to bad weather or other circumstances. Rescuers rendered assistance to 12 citizens, taking six vehicles to a safe place.
