Arkady Khachatryan elected chairman of Armenian parliament committee
The Armenian lawmakers voted on Tuesday to elect Arkady Khachatryan Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.
96 out of 100 MPs taking part in the secret ballot voted in favor of Hovakimyan, Chairman of the parliament’s Counting Commission Vahagn Hovakimyan said, summing up the voting results.
No ballot papers were declared invalid, he added.
The post of the committee chairman remained vacant after Bright Armenia MP Mane Tandilyan resigned.
