MPs of the ruling fraction to elect new members of the Constitutional Court
The National Assembly will resume its regular sitting on Tuesday with election of the three new members of the Constitutional Court of Armenia.As Speaker of the Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan told reporters at a briefing, along with the election, the parliament is set to discuss number of agenda issues.
To remind, the government has nominated Edgar Shatiryan as a Constitutional Court judge, the president’s nominee for the post is Artur Vagharshyan, while the General Assembly of Judges has named Yervand Khundkaryan as its candidate.During the Monday sitting of the parliament, held the hearing go the three candidates.
Two opposition fractions - Prosperous Armenia and Bright Armenia announced plans to boycott the election, labeling them as 'unconstitutional.
