Criminal case opened over Armenian serviceman’s killing
Armenia’s Investigation Committee opened a criminal case in connection with the death of Armenian serviceman, on charges of murder out of ethnic, racial or religious hatred, or religious fanaticism, the press service of the Investigation Committee reported.
As reported earlier, a serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces was killed in a fresh provocation by Azerbaijan on the state border on Wednesday.
Junior Sergeant Hovik Tamazyan suffered fatal gunshot and shrapnel wounds in a northeastern military position, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
An investigation is underway.
