290 students from Javakhk allowed to travel to Armenia
Around 290 young people from Javakhk (Javakheti) who are studying in Armenia have been permitted to travel to the country, Jnews reports.
They were not able to come to Armenia due to the travel restrictions imposed by the Georgian authorities to contain the spread of coronavirus.
The students are set to cross the Georgian-Armenian border at the Sadakhlo border checkpoint.
According to the source, it is for the Georgian Foreign Ministry to grant a permit to Javakhk Armenians, but the process is being delayed for unknown reasons.
In an interview with Jnews on September 14, the Foreign Ministry assured that they would respond to the students' applications as soon as possible. However, the students' data has been in the ministry for almost two weeks.
