Armenian pianists win Odin International Music Competition
Armenian pianists Lilit Mkrtchyan and Nune Asatryan won the Odin International Music Online Competition in Estonia, ANM reported.
The Armenian participants won the first prize in the Piano Four Hands category. As Nune Asatryan told ANM, the video for the online competition was recorded at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory during the coronavirus lockdown.
The musicians performed two symphonic pieces by Edvard Grieg and an excerpt from Pyotr Tchaikovsky's “The Nutcracker”.
Lilit Mkrtchyan and Nune Asatryan work at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. This is not their first participation in international competitions. In 2010 the duo took part in the International Edvard Grieg Piano Competition in Oslo.
