Two new Armenian high court judges sworn in
Two new members of the Constitutional Court of Armenia were sworn in on Thursday, two days after being elected to the positions by the parliament.
Artur Vagharshyan and Edgar Shatiryan, who had been nominated as judges of Armenia’s high court by the president and the government, respectively, thanked the deputies for the vote of confidence.
“Assuming the position of a Constitutional Court judge, I hereby swear in front of the people of the Republic of Armenia to unswervingly abide by the Constitution, act in good faith, be impartial and remain faithful to the distinguished title of a Constitutional Court judge,” the judges said in their inauguration speech.
