Red Cross officials visit Armenian captives in Azerbaijan
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have visited the Armenian nationals, including officer Gurgen Alaverdyan, held in Azerbaijani custody, Zara Amatuni, Head of Communication Programs of the ICRC Armenia Office, told Panorama.am.
Red Cross officials do not normally disclose details of such meetings, only noting that they stay focused on the issue, she added.
Five Armenians are currently held captive in Azerbaijan, including Karen Ghazaryan from the village of Berdavan, serviceman Arayik Ghazaryan, Narek Sardaryan from the village of Nerkin Khndzoresk, Arsen Baghdasaryan from Artsakh and Gurgen Alaverdyan.
