Armenia sets new high in average for 4th day in a row as COVID cases break 49,000
Armenia has confirmed 429 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 49,072 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, the Ministry of Health reports.
175 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 43,576.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by one to 948. Another two patients died who diagnosed positive for coronavirus but the cause of the death was another disease.The number of such cases is 295.
The latest victims was 79-year-old male who had underlying chronic health conditions.
The number of active cases is 4,253. As many as 280,366 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
