Woman, child killed in Artsakh as Azerbaijan shells civilian areas
A woman and a child have been killed in Artsakh as a result of the massive attack launched by Azerbaijan along the entire line of contact on Sunday, Artsakh Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Artak Beglaryan said in a Facebook post.
“Two people have been killed in Martuni region – a woman and a child. Two others are wounded,” he wrote, adding the possible casualties in other settlements are being clarified.
The ombudsman stated that schools in the country, including in capital city Stepanakert, have also come under Azerbaijani shelling.
“Civilian infrastructures in many settlements have suffered massive damages,” he said.
The Azerbaijani army launched a large-scale attack along the entire Artsakh line of contact at around 7am, using helicopters, tanks and UAVs.
