Armenian FM: Azerbaijan attacks Armenia’s Vardenis town with Turkish drones
On the third day of its aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), Azerbaijan is attacking the Armenian town of Vardenis with the use of Turkish UAVs, causing civilian casualtis, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan tweeted.
“This action will receive adequate military and political response,” he stressed.
Villages in the Vardenis community are also being targeted by the Azerbaijani militray, Defense Ministry representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan told a news conference today.
In the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan launched a massive air and artillery attack on the Artsakh military positions and numerous civilian settlements and infrastructure in the country, including capital Stepanakert. Artsakh civilians were urged to take shelter.
