Defense Ministry: Azerbaijani forces shell military unit in Armenia’s Vardenis
The Azerbaijani troops shelled a military unit in the Armenian town of Vardenis, as well as conducted air strikes on the Armenian military positions, Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
She said that the Azerbaijani attack came hours after the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry spread another disinformation alleging Armenia had shelled the country’s Dashkesan region from Vardenis.
“The adversary thus attempted to prepare grounds for justifying its further actions,” Stepanyan said, pledging a “harsh response” from the Armenian side.
