Civilian bus on fire in Armenia’s Vardenis after Azerbaijani drone strike
A civilian bus is on fire in the Armenian town of Vardenis after being struck by an Azerbaijani drone, Armenian Defense Ministry representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan said on Facebook.
Earlier Defense Ministry spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan said that the Azerbaijani forces had shelled the Armenian military unit in Vardenis, as well as had conducted air strikes on the Armenian military positions.
She said that Azerbaijani attack came immediately after the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s disinformation alleging Armenia had shelled the country’s Dashkasan region from Vardenis.
“The adversary thus attempted to prepare grounds for justifying its further actions,” Stepanyan, said, pledging a “harsh response” from the Armenian side.
