Armenian women ready to head to frontline
Hundreds of Armenian women have volunteered for going to the Artsakh frontline to take part in the military operations,
A total of 250 women were registered for the voluntary mobilization of women led by OMON Council member, Lieutenant Colonel Marine Ayrumyan on September 29 alone.
Marine Ayrumyan told Panorama.am that the volunteering women are aged between 18 to 55. She said that all those women who want to enroll as volunteers can visit the operative building of the Special Purpose Police Unit located on 5 Moskovyan Street. The volunteers are required to carry passports with them.
In the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan launched a massive air and artillery attack on the Artsakh military positions and numerous civilian settlements and infrastructure in the country, including capital Stepanakert. Sevan civilians have been killed in Artsakh as a result of Azerbaijani attacks since the start of hostilities.
