Three more Artsakh civilians killed as Azerbaijan bombards Martakert town
Three more civilians have been killed in the Artsakh town of Martakert as a result of the Azerbaijani air attack, Artsakh presidential spokesman Vahram Poghosyan said on Wednesday.
“A military helicopter of the Azerbaijani air force has just bombarded he town of Martakert, killing three civilians and injuring several others,” the official said.
“Official Baku is overtly attacking the civilian population, violating all norms of international law,” he stressed.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Artsakh human rights defender released the names of four civilians killed in Azerbaijani shelling.
In the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan launched a massive air and artillery attack on the Artsakh military positions and numerous civilian settlements and infrastructure in the country, including capital Stepanakert. Artsakh civilians were urged to take shelter.
