Defense Ministry: Azerbaijan’s attempts to break through defense of Artsakh army in separate parts failed
The air defense units of the Armenian forces shot down an Azerbaijani warplane and a drone in the northeastern direction of Artsakh at around 7:55am Friday, the Armenian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan said in a Facebook post.
“Fighting continues along the Artsakh border. The attempts of the enemy to break through the defense of our troops in separate parts failed,” she wrote.
In the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan launched a massive air and artillery attack on the Artsakh military positions and numerous civilian settlements and infrastructure in the country, including capital Stepanakert. Seven civilians have been killed in Artsakh as a result of Azerbaijani attacks since the start of hostilities.
