Le Monde reporters injured in Azerbaijani shelling transported to Yerevan airport for airlift to France
Two reporters of the French daily Le Monde, who were injured during the Azerbaijani bombardment of the Artsakh town of Martuni on Thursday, have been transported to the Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan to be airlifted to France, Aysor.am reported.
French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that France is ready to airlift the two journalists, who were taken to the Erebuni Medical Center in Yerevan from Artsakh.
Armenia TV cameraman Aram Grigoryan and a reporter for the Armenian news agency 24news.am, Sevak Vardumyan, were also injured in the Azerbaijani attack.
Several other journalists, including an AFP crew and a deputy editor-in-chief sent by the Russian TV channel Dozhd, narrowly escaped being hit by the shelling. A five-member crew of Civilnet also came under artillery fire of Grad.
