Grigory Martirosyan: Information about Stepanakert shelling victims being clarified
number of towns and villages of Martakert, Martuni, Hadrut, Askeran, Shahumyan, Qashatagh regions of Artsakh have been subjected to artillery strikes, over the past days, Artsakh State Minister, the Head of operative headquarters Grigory Martirosyan told at a briefing on Friday.
"As you know, Stepanakert was just shelled resulting in casualties among the civilian population. The information about victims is being clarified now. Civilian objects and residential buildings have been damaged," Martirosyan informed, adding the operative headquarters and the government have set up a commission to assess the damage.
"The assessment of the damage will be carried out without delay. We are set to start reconstruction of the residential buildings, houses as well as other object sfrom tomorrow to make sure the civilians who lost their houses are able to return there."
Martirosyan recalled that Armenians throughout the world have made donations over the past days. To date, more than $15 million has been raised through the fundraising campaign, the Artsakh official said.
