Azerbaijani targeting of civilian infrastructure in Artsakh could cause environmental disaster – Defense Ministry
The Azerbaijani army has started targeting some civilian infrastructure in Artsakh, the destruction of which could cause an environmental disaster, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, an official representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry, said on Saturday.
“This is extremely important. Azerbaijan is using long-range weapons to destroy the civilian infrastructure that could lead to an environmental disaster,” he wrote on Facebook.
In the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan launched a massive air and artillery attack on the Artsakh military positions and numerous civilian settlements and infrastructure in the country, including capital Stepanakert. Artsakh civilians were told to take shelter.
