Recognition of Artsakh independence may serve as leverage for establishing peace in the region, Artsakh FM says
A triple alliance consisting of Azerbaijan, Turkey and terrorists have been formed which is a threat not only to the Armenian people but all the countries of the region, Artsakh Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan said at a briefing on Saturday.
The FM recalled numerous calls by the international community, including the UN Security Council, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, leaders of individual countries to cease the fire and resume the peace talks.
"Those appeals remained unanswered which demonstrates that two rogue states - Turkey and Azerbaijan - not only oppose but also cynically reject the calls by the international community, including the UN Security Council, OSCE Minsk Group Chairs, leaders of separate states," Mayilyan said, adding: "We are confident the recognition of Artsakh Republic independence may serve as leverage and a mechanism to establish peace in the region."
