Defense Army: Azerbaijani forces prepare for new attack
The situation in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan conflict zone was steadily tense during the night, the Artsakh Defense Army said on Sunday.
“The situation was especially tense in the southern direction. The analysis of the adversary’s actions shows that the latter is preparing for a new attack,” the military said.
The Defense Army stressed that it is following all the movements of the Azerbaijani troops and is ready to suppress all their actions.
In the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan launched a massive air and artillery attack on the Artsakh military positions and numerous civilian settlements and infrastructure in the country, including capital Stepanakert. Artsakh civilians were told to take shelter.
Both Armenia and Artsakh have declared martial law and a general mobilization.
