Armenia reports 571 new coronavirus cases on October 4
Armenia has confirmed 571 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 52,496 as of 11 a.m. Sunday, October 4, the Ministry of Health reports.
89 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 44,672.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by 5 to 977. The latest victims were 63 (male), 64 (male), 60 (female), 50 (male) and 45 (female) years old. Except for the last two, the rest had underlying chronic health conditions.
The number of active cases is 6,545. As many as 306,965 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak, the ministry said.
