Italian MPs: Jihadists' presence in Nagorno Karabakh must be a wake-up call for international community
Members of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Massimiliano Capitanio and Giulio Centemero have issued a statement in connection with the aggression by Azerbaijan against Artsakh and the presence of mercenaries in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone.
"Disturbing news about the presence of jihadist terrorists transferred by Turkey next to the conflict zone should be wake-up call for the international community. If those reports are confirmed, the conflict will develop in a more serious scenario," the MPs say.
They note that the UN, the OSCE, and the EU undertake helpful initiatives to resume the talks. The MPs also urge the Italian government to activate efforts for the diplomatic solution to prevail over violence.
