The US State Department reiterates its position on Nagorno Karabakh issue
The US State Department has reiterated its approach on the developments around the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The comment provided to the Armenian service of the Voice of America, says: "As State Secretary Pompeo stated in his joint statement of October 5, we condemn the unprecedented and dangerous escalation of violence, urge the conflicting sides to an immediate ceasefire and return to substantive talks without preconditions."
The statement adds that the United States believes that the involvement of external parties in the ongoing violence will be unhelpful and will deepen the regional tensions.
