Azerbaijan continued to bomb civilian areas in Artsakh overnight; no casualties reported
The situation was tense in the Artsakh towns of Askeran, Martuni and Martakert overnight amid Azerbaijani army attacks, the Artsakh State Service of Emergency Situations reported on Tuesday.
The Azerbaijani troops continued bombing civilian settlements in Artsakh, violating the humanitarian ceasefire declared on October 10, the service sad.
“Civilian objects were targeted during the night, as a result of which one apartment was burned in Martakert. There were no reports of deaths or injuries,” it said.
In the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan launched a massive air and artillery attack on the Artsakh military positions, numerous civilian settlements and infrastructure in the country, including the capital Stepanakert.
Artsakh has reported more than 20 civilian casualties and hundreds of military casualties. Several foreign and local reporters have also been injured in Artsakh as a result of Azerbaijani attacks. Both Armenia and Artsakh have declared martial law and a general mobilization.
