Prayers offered at bombed Shushi church
Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Primate of the Artsak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, on Tuesday visited Ghazanchetsots (Holy Saviour) Cathedral in the Artsakh town of Shushi and offered prayers there for peace, development, victory and unity of Armenia and Artsakh, the Artsak Diocese reported
The historic church was twice hit by missiles fired by the Azerbaijani troops on 8 October and was seriously damaged as a result of the attacks.
Built in the 19th century, the cathedral had been rebuilt after the war in the 1990s.
