The ongoing war prevents 10.815 children from going to school in border communities of Armenia
The right of Armenian children to education is at risk. All education institutions in Artsakh have been closed indefinitely since September 27. More than 24 thousand children do not attend schools in Artsakh and have no possibility to realize their right to education due to the ongoing war. More than 10.815 children in 119 border communities of Armenia are deprived of the right to education.
As the Ministry of Education reports, all schools, kindergartens and vocational schools have switched to online learning out of security considerations.
