Mkhitaryan thanks Italian senator for supporting Armenia and Artsakh
Armenian national football team captain and Roma AS midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan took to social media, thanking Italian Senator Matteo Salvini for the support of the Armenians.
"Thank you Senator Salvini for raising his voice for justice and for the right to life of the people of Artsakh," Mkhitaryan wrote on Facebook.
To remind, Italy's former PM, currently senator Salvini earlier participated in a rally organised by the Armenian community in Rome, expressing his support to Armenians against the backdrop of Azerbaijani aggression.
“We must not forget the destruction and suffering experienced by the people close to us and about which there is very little talk. Armenians were the first to experience the horror of genocide, and now they are being persecuted in Nagorno-Karabakh. If the European Union is significant, protect our brothers and the forepost of European civilization in the Middle East and the Caucasus,” he wrote on Facebook.
