Defense Ministry rep: Fierce battles going on in Artsakh’s north
Fierce fighting is going on in the northern direction of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the Armenian Defense Ministry representative said on Friday, adding the Armenian forces are applying a very literate tactics to repel the Azerbaijani attacks.
“During the repulse of another persistent attack, the infantry of the adversary fled following the strikes of our troops,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote on Facebook.
The situation in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan conflict zone remained relatively stable but tense overnight, the Artsakh Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
In the morning, breaching the humanitarian ceasefire yet again, the Azerbaijani forces resumed artillery and missile strikes in various sections, at the same time attempting attacks in the northern direction.
“The Defense Army units took appropriate measures to repel the adversary’s attack and strengthen the stability in the defense line. Currently, the operational-tactical situation is under the control of the Defense Army units,” the statement said.
