Dozens of Israelis make their way to Jerusalem to protest the sale of Israeli drones to Azerbaijan
Dozens of Israelis made their way on Saturday to the Knesset in Jerusalem to protest against Israel's defense cooperation with Azerbaijan as part of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
According to The Jerusalem Post report, the pro-Armenia protesters were seen making their way to Jerusalem in a long convoy of cars covered in red, blue and yellow - the colors that make up the Armenian flag.
The source reminds that the sale of Israeli drones to Azerbaijan, which have been used against Armenian forces as part of the ongoing war in Nagorno-Karabakh, has drawn international criticism. Israel has been accused by Armenia and Armenian supporters of being complicit in Azerbaijan’s policy and knowingly selling drones used to attack civilian populations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
On October 1, Armenia recalled its ambassador to Israel for consultations over Israeli arms sales to Azerbaijan. Protesting against the Israeli weapons exports, Armenian foreign ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan said “Israel’s workstyle is unacceptable. The ministry has to call back its ambassador in Israel.”
