Turkish F-16 fighters are deployed to Azerbaijan illegally, analyst Suren Sargsyan insists.
"The deployment of American F-16 fighters belonging to Turkish air forces to Azerbaijan is illegal. The US Arms Export Control Act requires foreign state structures to get approval from the US government before handing off American-made military equipment to a third party. There has been no such approval. This is not the first time Turkey violates the US legislation and contract obligation," Sargsyan wrote on Facebook.
The analyst has also shared the satellite imagery, showing at least two F-16 fighter jets at Ganja International Airport in Azerbaijan. "I am confident this photo has been shared with The New York Times by NASA," added Sargsyan.
