Qatar Airways plane carrying humanitarian aid arrives in Yerevan from Los Angeles
A Qatar Airways plane carrying humanitarian aid collected by the American-Armenian community arrived in Yerevan from Los Angeles on Monday afternoon.
The assistance is intended for Artsakh civilians affected by the Azerbaijani military aggression, the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia reported.
Earlier the committee said that Turkey was refusing to provide its airspace for the transfer of the humanitarian aid from Los Angeles to Armenia.
"The cargo transportation was finally made possible due to the tireless efforts of the Civil Aviation Committee and the Armenian community in the United States,” Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee Tatevik Revazian said.
On October 11, a cargo flight arrived at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan from Los Angeles with 20 tons of humanitarian aid of the Hayastan All Armenian Fund. The aid included medicine, medical supplies and portable X-Ray machines.
