Georgia's COVID-19 cases top 20,000
Georgia reported 1,351 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing its total to 21,208, according to Xinhua.
A total of 445 of the 1,351 new cases were confirmed in the capital city of Tbilisi, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health said.
As of Wednesday, 9,003 of the 21,208 patients have recovered, while 172 others have died, said the center.
From Wednesday, Georgian citizens returning from abroad with negative PCR tests will be sent into self-isolation instead of compulsory quarantine, according to the Georgian government.
Georgia reported the first confirmed case on February 26.
