Austria's parliament condemned Turkey's interference in NK conflict
The Armenian community of Austria supports the Artsakh people right to self-determination through rallies, fundraising, social and political campaigns.
Thanks to the efforts of the community members, Austria's parliament has adopted a resolution that condemns Turkey's involvement in the Nagorno-Karabakh military actions.
"The resolution called to end the war. We hope, the Austrian authorities will exert more pressure on Turkey and Azerbaijan," Representative of the Armenian National Committee of Austria Gevorg Hakobjyan has told "Hayern Aysor" news portal.
The members of the community have also organised a large-scale demonstration
entitled "Peace for Artsakh" in the Vienna Opera square, which featured 10 world-known artists and Armenian music.
"The work over the recent days has entered a new phase as a clear demand has been pout forward to recognize the Artsakh independence and the right of its people to self-determination," Hakobjyan noted.
He next informed about the ongoing donations to "We and Our Borders, Everything for Artsakh" campaign by Hayastan All-Armenia Fund and 1000+ Insurance Foundation for Servicemen. As Hakobjyan informed some 150 thousand euros have been collected in the past days.
