More than 70 rockets fell in Iran from Karabakh conflict zone on Wednesday
A total of 71 rockets fired from the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict zone fell on the territory of Iran on Wednesday alone, Iran Press reported, citing a deputy governor.
“The rockets hit several villages near Khoda Afarin city, but fortunately they have not caused any casualties,” Aliyar Rastgoo, the political and security deputy governor of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province, said.
Rastgoo stated that since the start of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, a total of 68 rockets had hit the border areas of Iran.
"Legal measures have been taken by the Iranian border forces and the parties involved in the Nagorno-Karabakh war have been given a serious warning to prevent such incidents,” the official said.
