Local battles continue in all frontline directions – Artsakh Defense Ministry
The situation in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan conflict zone remained relatively stable but tense overnight. Artillery duels and firefights continued in some areas, the Artsakh Defense Ministry said on Friday.
“In the evening, in yet another blatant violation the norms of international humanitarian law, the Azerbaijani forces shelled Askeran. Towards midnight, they also targeted Martuni,” the ministry said.
“Currently, local battles are taking place in all directions of the frontline. The operation of detecting and destroying the enemy subversive groups consisting of mercenary terrorists continues by the units of the Defense Army,” it said.
