‘I don’t consider them harmful’: Pashinyan comments on meetings of former Armenian, Artsakh presidents
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has been informed about the meetings of former Armenian and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) presidents and their content, the premier said in an interview to the Russian Interfax news agency on Thursday.
His comments came in response to a question whether he was involved in the active consultations between the ex-presidents on Artsakh in recent days.
“The second and third presidents of Nagorno-Karabakh contacted and informed me about the discussions and the objectives sought,” the prime minister said.
Asked whether he considers those meetings useful, Pashinyan said: “I don’t consider them harmful.”
In response to a question where the key to the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement is, the premier stressed the key to the settlement consists in compromise and in a more proactive involvement of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, particularly Russia.
All former presidents of Armenia and Artsakh, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Robert Kocharyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Arkadi Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan, held a meeting in Yerevan a few days ago.
