Armenia reports 2,213 new coronavirus cases on October 24
Armenia has confirmed 2,213 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 75,523 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, October 24, the Ministry of Health reports.
425 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 50,701.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by 12 to 1,157. The latest victims were 74 (male), 71 (female), 81 (female), 79 (female), 66 (female), 80 (female), 81 (female), 54 (female), 70 (male), 69 (male), 50 (female) and 64 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions. Four other patients carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.
The number of active cases is 23,332. As many as 372,550 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
